“Where the Industry Comes Together”
NAMIC’s 115th Annual Convention
San Diego, Calif.

The Convention Experience

The NAMIC Annual Convention and Exhibit Show is THE place where the industry comes together! Where else can you take advantage of networking with your peers, receive updates on industry breaking news and trends, and meet with reinsurers and rating bureaus – all in one location? When you add top level educational content and an exhibit show with more than 100 vendor booths, the opportunity to accomplish this much in one spot only comes along once a year.

Average attendance at NAMIC’s convention exceeds 1,600 individuals, including more than 1,000 senior executives from nearly 300 different companies. More than 83 percent of the delegates are from primary insurance companies. In addition, consistently more than 96 percent of convention survey respondents say that the meeting meets or exceeds their educational expectations. Nearly 95 percent of them would recommend convention attendance to a colleague.

We urge you to be a part of one of the largest insurance company meetings in the country. It is NAMIC’s largest gathering of member-company representatives from various size companies, illustrating our very diverse membership.

Monday Keynoter: Jim Collins

Jim CollinsJim Collins is a student and teacher of enduring great companies — how they grow, how they attain superior performance, and how good companies can become great companies. Having invested over a decade of research into the topic, Jim has authored or co-authored four books, including the classic BUILT TO LAST, which has been a fixture on the Business Week best seller list for more than six years, and has been translated into 29 languages. His most recent book, HOW THE MIGHTY FALL: And Why Some Companies Never Give In, was published on May 19, 2009.

Tuesday Keynoter: Mark King

Mark KingStarting as a young salesman who sold the then-unknown TaylorMade brand to pro shops, Mark King rose through the ranks and took the reins of his company at a time when both sales—and corporate morale—were on the decline. Through his unwavering passion for the game and business of golf and by embracing a back-to-basics, bottom-up approach to management, King continues to lead the company’s unprecedented growth from $300 million a year in sales to $1.2 billion in less than a decade. King shares his hard-learned experience on what it takes to empower a team and sustain growth for an international business through even the toughest of times.

Wednesday Keynoter: Ari Fleischer

Ari FleischerThe voice of the Bush administration during some of America's most challenging days, Ari Fleischer provides a unique look at the Obama administration, politics, the media and foreign policy.

As former White House press secretary, Ari Fleischer was the primary spokesperson for President Bush and delivered the daily White House briefings from 2001-2003. He previously served as the senior communications advisor and spokesman for the Bush-Cheney presidential campaign. In his almost four years working with George W. Bush, he served as spokesman during the historic presidential recount, September 11, two wars and the anthrax attaché. His best selling book, Taking Heat, details his years in the White House and reached @#7 on the New York Times bestseller list.
