Working Group Purpose – Examine prospective litigation to consider NAMIC support in amicus filings at a strategic level. Make recommendations for how and where NAMIC engages in amicus filings across the country.

General Working Group Value Proposition – Provide a forum for members to identify existing litigation that impacts NAMIC member interests that may be in need of additional funding to continue, while also guiding the development of policy principles and positions on specific legal and regulatory issues questions.

General Working Group Responsibilities – The working group will:

Identify, review, and consider active appellate litigation of interest to NAMIC members.

Apply internal review standards.

Provide funding and other support, when appropriate, to further litigation determined to be of significant importance to the property/casualty insurance industry.
