The Highway Loss Data Institute is an affiliate organization of IIHS. It gathers, processes, and publishes data on the ways in which insurance losses vary among different kinds of vehicles.

IRC provides timely and reliable information based on extensive data collection and analyses, examining important public policy matters that affect insurers, customers, and the general public. IRC is devoted solely to research and the communication of its research findings.

ISO Disaster Mitigation
The Insurance Services Office provides information services related to disaster mitigation through well-enforced, up-to-date building codes and fire prevention.

National Association of Insurance Commissioners
The NAIC is the trade association for insurance regulators from the 50 states, District of Columbia, and the five U.S. territories. It provides a forum for the development of uniform policy when uniformity is appropriate.

National Conference of Insurance Legislators
NCOIL was created to help state legislators make informed decisions on insurance issues that affect their constituents and to oppose federal encroachment of state authority on the business of insurance. NCOIL also educates state legislators on current and perennial issues; helps state legislators communicate effectively with each other; and improves the quality of insurance regulation.

National Insurance Crime Bureau
The NICB is dedicated exclusively to fighting insurance fraud and crime, and is the only organization in the United States that convenes the collective resources needed to prevent, detect and deter these crimes.
