As a member of the team serving more than 1,400 property casualty insurance companies throughout the U.S., Canada and Internationally, Kristen leads the effort in the development and promotion of educational events, products/services, and knowledge resources to benefit member companies. She is involved in the marketing and development of the association’s corporate governance resources and education for member company boards of directors including the Directors Education Series, Directors’ Boot Camp, Advanced courses, and Farm Mutual Director Certification program. She serves as the staff liaison to more than 10 association committees and two of the boards of directors governing NAMIC.
She joined NAMIC in 2002 as Property Casualty Conference Marketing Manager in the Member Services department. Under her leadership educational programs have grown by 31 percent and reached a level of consistent profitability with overall attendee satisfaction averaging more than 95 percent each year. In 2004, Kristen was promoted to Director, in 2007 to Assistant Vice President, and in September 2009 to Vice President with the addition of annual convention oversight responsibilities.
Prior to joining NAMIC, Kristen worked in the publishing industry as marketing and product development manager for a regional woman’s and a national tourism publication. She began her insurance career as a property claims adjuster with Citizens Insurance (a member of the Hanover Group) in 1997. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana State University in Public Relations with an emphasis in Marketing. In 2007, Kristen achieved certification from the Institute for Organizational Management.
Kristen is a member of American Society of Association Executives, Meeting Planners International, American Marketing Association, and Delta Gamma Sorority. She presently serves on the board of directors for the Indianapolis Alumnae Board of Directors (president 2001-2003) and currently represents Delta Gamma as the Panhellenic representative, an intra-fraternity governing body.
