Jon Bergner

Jonathan Bergner serves as Vice President of Public Policy & Federal Affairs in NAMIC’s Washington D.C. office. Jon leads NAMIC’s federal lobbying team and is responsible for the development and execution of advocacy strategies in the nation’s capital. He also leads the development and execution of the association’s public policy process and heads up NAMIC’s engagement with the National Association of Insurance Commissioners. He has been with NAMIC since 2007.

Bergner has spent time on both the House and Senate side of Capitol Hill and remains active in political campaigning. Before coming to NAMIC, Jon also gained experience in consulting, lobbying, and public affairs at two well-known Washington firms.

Bergner graduated from the University of Virginia with a bachelor of arts in political theory and philosophy and has a masters degree from Georgetown University. He is a Virginia native of the Washington D.C. area, where he resides with his wife Brianna and daughter Isabella.
