It is our belief that the policyholders the property/casualty insurance industry protects are best served by a free market without onerous taxation, duplicative regulation, or frivolous lawsuits. In defense of these principles, NAMIC tracks a wide range of legislative and regulatory issues that confront our industry at the federal level. You will find a list of those issues that top our legislative agenda to the left. Select any issue to find out more.
Our policy positions are the result of research, discussions, and conclusions of member companies of all sizes and types. Approved by NAMIC’s Board of Directors, these positions are first discussed by our Federal Affairs Committee and issue task forces that then offer recommendations to the board. This policy-making structure allows for our association’s views to be representative of the broad cross section of the leaders of the property/casualty insurance industry that make up our membership.
